Laboratory consumables purchasing FAQs
Practical answers to help you prepare your specifications and discuss your order.
What specifications should I include in a quotation request?
Include the product name or reference code, dimensions or working volume, material, sterility requirements, preferred packaging, quantity and destination country. Add a drawing, reference photo or instrument model when compatibility or a custom format matters.
Can I include different product categories in one inquiry?
Yes. You can include products from different catalog categories in one inquiry. Give the specifications and quantity for each item so product availability, packaging and shipping arrangements can be reviewed together.
How can I request samples?
Send the product name, required specification, sample quantity and delivery destination. Sample availability, any charges and the dispatch schedule need to be confirmed for the selected items before arrangements are made.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimum order quantities depend on the product, specification, pack size and any customization. Request the MOQ for each item in your purchasing list so you can compare suitable pack and order options.
How is the delivery schedule confirmed?
Provide your quantities, destination and required arrival date. The schedule needs to account for product availability, production or customization where applicable, packing and transport. Confirm the agreed dispatch plan in the quotation or order documents.
Can I request custom labels or packaging?
Include your artwork or labeling requirements, pack size and order quantity in your inquiry. Feasibility, minimum quantities, artwork approval and any effect on the schedule need to be reviewed for the product and packaging you choose.
What quality documents should I ask for?
Documentation varies by item and application. Include any required technical datasheet, material specification, sterility information or test report in your inquiry so the applicable documents and their scope can be confirmed for the selected product.
How do I check that a consumable fits my workflow or equipment?
Compare the exact dimensions, working volume, material, closure or sealing format, sterility requirements and instrument interface. For pipette tips, PCR consumables and storage products, include the equipment model or required format when requesting confirmation.
